I'll be back in business with lots of films Preity

Preity Zinta has been off the Bollywood radar for a long time as she was preoccupied with the Indian Premier League (IPL) and a management course at Harvard Business School in the US. She has reassured fans she will be seen in a whole lot of movies in 2010.

"Guys I am back in business. Its nice to be back after a freezing New Year. Well my New Year resolution is to work in more films, work out five times a week and learn how to drive in Mumbai traffic," Preity posted on her Twitter page.

"You all will see me doing a lot of movies this year! Please be patient and wait for announcements," she added.

Gunned down in cold blood

Nothing could console friends and family at the gruesome scene, where the lifeless body of the owner of Durban Metal Company was found, gunned down after a robbery on Saturday, 4 October.

Dave Grobler (31) of Kloof walked into his business premises while the robbery was in progress.

Police spokesman Inspector Michael Read said that six armed men allegedly approached the security guard and disarmed him of his shotgun. Read said they forced the guard into the premises. "The suspects could not enter the premises any further because of an access control door.

Vagrants Must Vacate

Durban's Overport community has had enough of the eyesore sight of vagrants and street children occupying pavements and street corners at the Brickfield and Sparks Road intersection.

Residents, shoppers and business people are irritated by the influx of vagrants and glue sniffing, untidy street children who are said to be giving this established and busy inner-city CBD a bad image.

Street children occupying the intersections have come into the spotlight for turning the CBD into an unsightly area after they were left hanging around unnoticed for several years relocating from across Brickfield Road. The area is currently occupied by a car sales business.

When The Weekly Gazette visited the area, we were greeted by empty food containers that were attracting flies.
