Gunned down in cold blood
Nothing could console friends and family at the gruesome scene, where the lifeless body of the owner of Durban Metal Company was found, gunned down after a robbery on Saturday, 4 October.
Dave Grobler (31) of Kloof walked into his business premises while the robbery was in progress.
Police spokesman Inspector Michael Read said that six armed men allegedly approached the security guard and disarmed him of his shotgun. Read said they forced the guard into the premises. "The suspects could not enter the premises any further because of an access control door.
